Jesse grew up in Texas and has been writing for newspapers since high school.

He did two tours in the Peace Corps, in Haiti and then in East Timor, and he has traveled the world he has written for publications including USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, the German Press Agency, the Australian Associated Press, Catster (formerly Cat Fancy) and more.

Jesse has won the top prize for feature writing in Mississippi from the Mississippi Press Association and he has survived one coup and one 1,000 year flood.

He can tell one hell of a story.
